Macna Orcano 2.0 Night Eye, textile jacket

A sporty mesh jacket, further developed for sports and naked bike riders in warm conditions.

The Orcano 2.0 is further developed for warm riding conditions with a ton of 3D-mesh fabric to ensure enough airflow past your body – impact areas like elbows and shoulders being the exception.

3D-mesh fabric is constructed in a way that enables increased intake of air that can burst past the body to cool it along the way. Macna calls this differentiator Air Burst™.

Aside from mesh, this variant of the Orcano consists mainly of Night Eye™ fabric; a reflective ground layer that’s loaded with microscopic dishes that reflect light back to its source, similar to High-Viz gear but without the kitschy look.

This jacket is available in men’s and ladies’ variants and with or without Night Eye™. All variants are fitted with reflective Side Eye™ elements that make you better visible at the sides when it is needed.

Its fit can easily be adjusted by velcro at the cuffs and hips, and to maintain that perfect fit Macna fitted the Belt Loop™ at the back. This is a strong piece of webbing that enables easy connection between your jacket and belt which prevents the jacket from creeping up.

Macna's RISC™ level 1 impact protectors are present at the shoulders and elbows. RISC™ back and chest protectors are separately available and can easily be placed in the designated compartment. Be sure to check the size table before purchasing a back protector.

To top it all off, the shoulders are extra well protected by exterior shoulder caps made of EVA, which is rigid enough to provide protection, yet also flexible enough not to mess with your comfort.

Softwill

Strong woven fabric with fine twill structure and light stretchability which is comfortable to wear.

Micro Mesh

Strong polyester mesh with a fine knitted structure which provides ventilation and gives an unique appearance.

Fybrex

Polyester 500D fabric with high density that is durable, strong and abrasion-resistant.

Ripstop (coated)

Coated fabric with ripstop weave and reinforced yarns, which makes the fabric stronger and more resistant to tearing. The fabric has a matt coating which is waterproof.

Night Eye™

Dark grey by day, luminous at night! The fabric is coated with lots of tiny dishes that reflect light back to its source - in your case, the traffic around you.

Side Eye™

Reflective elements that remain discreet by day, implemented on the side to boost visibility. Night Eye's little brother.

Air Burst™

Back in the day, you needed to open up your main zip if you wanted to cool down. Luckily, those days are over as Macna’s gear has been fitted with ventilation zips, panels and outlets for many years now. But sometimes, all those options still weren’t enough.

That’s why Macna evolved their mesh fabric to the next level, or actually another dimension all together. The third-dimension mesh fabric of Air Burst™ creates a breathable layer between the body and outside of the shell, which enables a better intake of cool air to cool the body. 3D mesh also slows you down gently and in one piece before your skin comes into contact with the road.

Belt Loop™

Wearing jeans on a sports- or naked bike can get a bit chilly when your jacket decides to creep up on you. Being cold is one thing, getting hurt is another. In case of an incident, you might end up on your back without your jacket covering it.

Raise your comfort and safety with Macna’s Belt Loop™. It is made of strong webbing that is secured at the top of the back and runs all the way down your jacket, where you can connect it to your belt. The Belt Loop™ keeps your jacket in place, prevents a cold back, and raises your safety in case of an incident.

R.I.S.C.™ Protectors

A garment can be fitted with Level 1 or Level 2 protectors, depending on which segment you’re going for. Level 2 protectors are thicker and heavier than Level 1, but in turn they provide better protection. Both levels of RISC protectors are interchangeable and separately available, so you can easily scale down or up if you’d like to.

R.I.S.C.™ Back Protector

You won’t find chest and back protectors in Macna’s garments – with exception of protective jackets such as the Korus and Whizzar – but they are separately available should you fancy extra protection. Make sure to check out the size table if you’re thinking about purchasing a Level 2 back protector.
