Macna Unite RTX 2.0 Kit, gloves waterproof heatable

A waterproof and electrically heated glove, developed with flexibility in mind for commuters in and around cities, and (big) scooter riders in cold conditions.

The Unite 2.0 is waterproof thanks to its Raintex membrane and the thermal liner makes it comfortable to wear in combination with the fit and absence of protection. Excess rainwater that accumulates in the mesh area between the membrane and outer shell is drained by the Water Exhaust™.

Dual Power Technology™ lets you choose between a 7.4- or 12-Volt power supply. Power can be supplied by a battery in the cuff or jacket, or a direct connection to the battery of your motorcycle.

There are 4 heating levels, each indicated in their own color by the battery level indicator. The indicator at the back of the hand also tells you how much power you have left, and lets you change the level by pressing it.

The thumb and index finger are made of one and the same panel of fabric. Macna calls this construction Ergothumb™ and it reduces seams and pressure points whilst also giving a wrinkle-free look. Another ergonomic differentiator is the 30° Buckle™, which is placed at an optimized angle of 30 degrees to enable full freedom of movement at the wrist.   

At the back of the hand, Macna opted for a R.I.S.C.™ 3D foam protector to guard the knuckles. Reflective elements are present at the fingers and to make sure you’re seen in one of the more critical areas, Macna included Side Eye™ reflection. The index finger is fitted with a Screen Cleaner™; a flexible extension at the ridge that lets you wipe rainwater off your visor.

This product contains two 7.4V batteries with 2.2A and a USB charging cable. If you want to make use of our flexible heated ecosystem and connect a stronger power supply, Macna advises to purchase the gloves and power supply separately.

Synthetic Nubuck

Brushed synthetic leather which is soft, flexible, breathable and has the look of real suede.

Bemberg™

An artificial textile fiber obtained from natural materials, including cellulose from a variety of botanical sources, and featuring a silky texture, used as a lining inside gloves in order to offer a pleasant and comfortable contact zone.

Raintex

Much of Macna’s gear is fitted with a waterproof Raintex membrane that prevents rainwater from penetrating whilst enabling vapor drops to make their way through. These membranes keep you free from both sweat and rainwater.

Raintex membranes are incorporated into Macna’s waterproof garments in different ways. Some feature a fixed membrane and others are fitted with a detachable one. There are also jackets with a waterproof liner, which means the waterproof membrane and thermal liner are combined to create a single layer.

Water Exhaust™

Membranes indeed block water, but that doesn’t mean water is unable to penetrate the outer layer. This can cause water to get trapped between outer layer and membrane, resulting in your glove becoming wet, cold, and soggy.

By fitting a garment with a Water Exhaust™, Macna prevents it from getting soaked, cold, and soggy. The Water Exhaust™ drains any excess rainwater that wants to accumulate between the waterproof Raintex membrane and outer layer, causing the garment to dry much faster.

E-Heated

With 20 years of experience and numerous in-house developed technologies, Macna is your wingman in the cold. Macna’s e-heated ecosystem includes several garments that enable you to heat any and every body part you want.

The unique Dual Power technology lets you switch between a 7,4V and 12V power supply whenever you like. There are three ways to power your garments; a battery in the glove or jacket, or a direct connection to your motorcycle.

Batteries feature Macna’s Power Expansion System, which divides the cells of a battery in an ergonomic way to prevent bulk at the wrists. Bluetooth® technology is present in their ecosystem, enabling you to connect all garments to the MACNA Heated app and control them with one hand.

Macna’s e-heated ecosystem provides full freedom when it comes to combining different garments and a suitable power supply to brave the cold.

Powervein™

Powervein wiring was created 20 years ago and further developed over the past two decades. Most notable improvement is the quality of the wiring, which greatly increases overall durability and effective heat release.

Dual Power Technology™

Imagine a drag race between a 700 cc and 1200 cc motorcycle; who do you think would win?

Aha! You already know more about heated gear than you think. Compared to a 7,4V power supply, a 12V power supply will heat up faster and reaches higher temperatures. Dual Power technology enables choice between a 7,4V or 12V power supply without making that choice permanent, as is the case with traditional heated gear.

Both voltages can be acquired in the form of chargeable batteries with different amperes. Want 12V power and an endless power supply? Hook you gear up to your bike through cables!

Easy Connect Plug

A connection that is easy to use and fully waterproof. The Easy Connect Plug can resist vibrations, yet is also smooth enough to unplug instead of tear when you forget to unplug before getting off your motorcycle. That’s what Macna calls a flexible e-heated ecosystem!

Ergothumb™

Ride long enough and eventually anything in an ‘unnatural’ position will start to hurt. In this case, Macna does'nt blame you, but your gear. Traditional gloves simply aren’t designed to grab the handlebar and maintain that position, sometimes for hours on end.

Ergothumb™ is an ergonomic construction that prevents wrinkling, pressure points, and pain, due to the thumb and index finger being made of one and the same panel of fabric. This creates a preformed glove that’s in its ‘natural’ position when you are riding.

30° Buckle™

Aside from a closure at the cuff, long-cuffed gloves often also have a strap at the wrist. This strap is placed horizontally in most cases, which does tighten the glove, but also limits your wrist’s freedom of movement.

This complaint is easily solved by Macna’s 30° Buckle™, which enables the wrist and hand to move more freely. Thanks to the difference in placement of the buckle, freedom of movement and overall comfort are raised.

Side Eye™

Reflective elements that remain discreet by day, implemented on the side to boost visibility. Night Eye's little brother.

Touch Tip

Touch screens dominate the modern day and age. Smartphones, tablets, and even more important for us motorcyclists: navigation systems. It is nice those screens work by touch, but that’s not really helpful when you’re wearing gloves.

That’s why Maca opts for heat-conductive fabric at the tips of the index fingers. These special Touch Tips enable the warmth of your finger to find its way through so that you can operate touch screens without having to take off your gloves.
